Dead peony

This is not the usual fare for this forum, but what the heck. I have done some dead flowers before, and some Chistopher Beane shots (google him, if you have not seen his stuff) got me started again. This one I pulled out of our garden this evening. One catch was that this was long exposures, and a tiny and and a spider mite kept running in and out of crevices, so I tried to get shots when they were hiding.

50D, EF-S 60mm macro, somewhat less than 1:1, 4 images stacked with Zerene, DMap.
