Full Screen mode?

I am trying to view a gallery in SlideShow in a "Full Screen" mode. When I start the slideshow, it indicates that I am in Full Screen mode (Press ESC to exit Full Screen Mode), but it actually only occupies about the middle third of my monitor (21").

Is this dependent upon file size? Would JPEG instead of RAW cause a difference? My test case is a 2.8 meg JPEG file. I have been relatively inactive in posting photos, so I suspect I have forgotten some of the essentials.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It probably only shows the max size allowed in the gallery.

Well, it looks as though I solved my problem! After some head banging and a little honest thought, I realized that I had been exporting my photos from LightRoom without paying attention to the file sizes. I discovered that I had been exporting files as 640 X 640 pixels, which made the results on SmugMug appear very small ... Duh! I just finished re-exporting them at a setting of 3200 X 3200 pixels, and the results are what I was after. Happiness!

What you should export in Lightroom is "original" so that your images are NOT resized at all upon export. You want the original pixel count to upload to Smugmug without any resize operation as each resize operation compromises the pixels some. Smugmug will auto-generate seven different web-sizes for use in their gallery/slideshow display from what you upload so you don't have to worry about web sizes.

And to add to this, the originals are used to determine what products are available for purchase, and are sent to the labs. No need to compromise any quality by resizing. thumb.gif
