    Not bad Gary...

Although might I suggest a portrait orientation for #1 (it would kill some of the background and fcous attention on the rider)

I have seen shots taken here where you can get some idea of the hill so is there some issues with getting to that location?

A Shaky Byrne shot comes to mind..

The first one i was along way from the action need a 400mm 2.8 too much money for a hobby, by the mountain it is fenced off so it is hard to get near no2 was from a small stand parallel, i feel i'm getting better each time but still a long way to go

For me it make the bike stand out, the real trick would be to catch the bike as the rear wheel hits the crest of the hill...

Ultimately the decision is yours (so I wouldn't say it was better becuase that is up to you to decide what you feel tells the sorty) but for me it polarises the bike action...
