Trigmaster problems

I have a canon 60D camera. I bought an aputure pro coworker wireless remote but it only seems to want to work the auto focus and it will not trigger the shutter. So I bought a couple of Trigmaster plus controllers. They also will not wirelessly trigger the shutter or auto focus the camera. If I hook up either on controller to the camera with a cable it auto focus and trigger the shutter flawlessly. These controllers have 6 different wireless channels and I have tried all of them with both controllers on the same channel and the switch in TX/RX but still nothing. The troubleshooting section isn't much help and I have set them up exactly how the instructions say to. I have even tried brand new batteries. I sent an email off to aputure, hopefully I heard something back.

I'm just wondering if this a decent company or did I waste my money on junk. It sucks that I have 3 wireless controllers and none of them work. I also checked the aputure website and my trigmasters are compatible withe the canon 60d.

Send it all back and try another set. These are pretty cheap and I suspect this is a quality control issue.

Are you trying to use wireless flash? Or simply trigger your camera remotely? I've been using the Trigmaster Plus radio flash triggers / camera controllers, and they work great. I can trigger my flash remotely AND trigger the camera remotely, if I use both the camera hotshoe and the camera connector cable, both at the same time. But you can't trigger the camera via the hotshoe, of course, you gotta plug into the camera's data control socket or USB port. And if you're using two Trigmaster units, I believe they BOTH need to be in TX mode, the wireless one as well as the one connected via the cable to the camera. But like I said, I'm not sure which exact products you've bought; they all work a little different.

If you're absolutely certain that you've set everything up correctly, then I guess just send it back or at least give them a call. I actually know one of the guys at Aputure (in Shenzen, China) so I might be able to help you out if you remain stumped with this issue. Good luck!
