Had been to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and was I glad to get to take this shot. It was shot handheld and the day was very hazy.

    Thanks for the Comment Linda. It sure is a Nice place for people interested in Bird Photography.With 9200 Acres of protected Habitat its a Part of Gateway Recreation Area, it is a birders paradise.Hope to make more trips in the Future :D

    Nice capture, I got my first wildlife captures at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. I saw my first great egret there.

    Why do they have the spikes on top of the nesting box? Beautiful capture.
