    I like the first one better than the second (the outside borders are quite distracting in the second). The first one shows a command of exposure that's pretty darn impressive.

    Thanks for the input everyone.

    The more I look at it though, the more boring it looks! Also seeing a lot of noise in the background. Hmmm, hopefully I'll have time to re-shoot or find something else.

    I think #1 is a very beautiful shot. However, I do agree with you, it is kind of boring. I think if you could just add something exciting to it...another light somewhere. I'm not sure. This is where experience is worth more than anything, and I just don't know what to tell you to make the shot more exciting SOOC.

    The exposure here, though, as others have said, is very impressive. Well done in that, above all else.

    I also like #1 and find the white distracting... how about a re-shoot without the whites and the bulb off to one side in landscape?
