Wow - 55 views, one response. Are they that bad? I think I'm done with the Challenges.

    Nope, not bad at all....

I like #4 the best with the DOF and the colors #3 works good as well but it's a tad soft, but that's the issue with JPG and no post processing... mwink.gif

Some of us can't log on over the weekends / I haven't been spending much time doing this myself, but I really like #4. Not really a fan of the candles, and the pose in #3 seems a little... awkward. 4 has a nice depth of focus which leaves a lot of the lace & tablecloth with a nice soft appearance, and the card, butterfly, & jewel are nicely crisp and lit.

I like #4 best. Tried to look at these on the iPhone when we were traveling this weekend, but didn't want to respond until I saw them on a larger monitor :D

[Edit: If pp was allowed this time, then I would also mention #2 but it seems a little dark on my monitor.]

I happen to like #1 and #2 as I really like images reflecting uniformity with a twist...like the touches of flame, the light & dark. Plus I like the colors. Of these two I kind of lean toward #2 because w/o being able to straighten, #1 is a bit off. GP

I love the blue colors in 1 and 2. But I think #4 is the best out of this group. Good dof and color. thumb.gif

I decided not to go with any of those. I'm on to something else.

I like your new entry best. I hope you get the technical issues worked out.

I think I would like the focus better if it were on the very front with everything else fading out of focus.

BTW, I usually copy to my laptop from my camera (straight Windows file copy), upload to my Smugmug to post for comments, and then upload to the gallery from the original file on my laptop. This does not change the date modified.

I've taken about 400 shots trying to replicate the one I entered. I got one that is close...if I could only crop and tilt I'd be fine. Grrr.

The focus is impossible because I'm using manual focus plus a macro lens attached. I don't think my eyes will ever be the same.

This Challenge did not turn out the way I planned. I blew the shot I wanted and spent 4 hours trying to replicate it. I couldn't. I ended up entering something entirely different. It's a bit weird for me, but I got to the point of "oh well....." and went for it.

I think it's pretty cool Sandi. Has an abstract feel to it with great color. I like it better than your first flower power entry. The shallow DOF gives it a three dimensional feel to it. Well done.

Thanks. I debated and went nuts trying to decide for a while, but the first one was too much like the other flower entries. I didn't want to be a copy cat.
