Who doesn't love a swamp, eh?
This is a rare stand of Atlantic White Cedar in southern NH. I think this is the northern edge of the tree's range and this swamp is now a Nature Conservancy preserve. It's really gorgeous and lush. Be glad the mosquitoes can't get you...they were vicious despite the anti-bug-goo I slathered on.
The light was a bit direct in spots, but manageable.
In addition to the cedars there are giant rhododendrons and mountain laurel (not blooming when I took this) and lots of ferns which make such excellent subjects. Hard to resist even with the blood-drinker onslaught.
all shot w/the E-30 and the Olympus 12-60mm with tripod and polarizer assists.
