Ben, you would not believe how hard I worked today. One of my best shots, not a bird in it, now it was a point and shoot and I was just darn lucky.
These birds, I was taking photos of a pelican, actually. Came out good, too. I just got intrigued with these "rats" or whatever someone calls them. I could only get three in my lens at a time, so I kind of went around the group and every once in a while took a shot of three of them. I had to make sure that at least one was in good focus.
I still want those special birds, but this was a very good day. I got a sunrise type, sweet light, boats on glass like water, talked to a nice woman from massachusits, can't spell it, got a few people shots. The best ones, the people are farther away than my birds usually are. I am going to wait til after the 4 labs excitement dies down to post those. And I did get the birds. Oh, and I got some dirt, about 4 different kinds...........
The best thing about the day was the shrimper fisherman I met. He was fine with me coming to HIS dock, (it probably isn't his dock). He told me that they have been having bald eagles, just have to be there at the right time.
But through him I found out a whole lot and have a contact now who actually doesn't mind my being there.
So, I may not have gotten a NH, but I got me a "MAN". Fisherman! With a dock, who knows about the birds and all.

Yep they look well rested to me half asleep, afraid they might miss out on something if they shut both eyes I bet
They blend in nicely with the background Ginger, I like the lighting too.
