Saving Settings

Hey guys.

Here's what happens - I upload a new gallery and smug puts it at the end / bottom of the galleries page, I click on Arrange / sort by created then click on reverse so the latest gallery is at the top, then click save.

Problem is I have to do this EVERY TIME I put a new gallery up, I thought clicking 'save' it would remember the settings? Any way I can do this?

Thanks in advance

    Hi David,

You only have two ways to set your homepage. You can have it set to show galleries by 'position' or by 'most recent'. The first option allows you to manually arrange galleries/(sub)categories on your site. For each new gallery you add, you would have to arrange it manually if you're not happy with the default arrangement. It's not possible to have this done automatically each time if you want to keep the ability to manually arrange.

If you just wish to have the newest galleries showing at the top, you could change your homepage to sort galleries by 'most recent'. That would keep the last changed galleries/(sub)categories up top. You can find the setting on your homepage at the top portion of your gallery categories box:
Sort categories by: most recent • position
Just click on 'most recent' to change the setting to have the arrangement done automatically.

Read more on the feature in the 'arranging galleries' section here:

I think he means his galleries page, not his home page. I have been in the same boat since joining smugmug in 2006. New gallery every week. Rearrange to bring it to the top, feature it #1, go to last week's gallery, feature it #2...

It's tedious. All I want is new galleries on top and my 2 most recent galleries on my homepage.

Smugmug could make this so much easier.
