replace photo not working

I cannot get "replace photo" to work today. I am trying to do this in 3 different old journal style galleries. The little dialogue does not pop up telling me to pick a photo, but I can pick a photo, then it goes to the screen where I should be replacing the photo but the page is just all black w/just the smugmug header stuff at the top and nothing else.

That's a known issue. To replace a photo, you can use the upload button and then adding the replacement files (making sure the filesnames are identical to the files already in the gallery) to the html5, Simple or Flashy uploader. By default the uploaders will skip duplicates, but once you have files added, you can change the default to 'replace duplicates'.

Alternatively, you could temporary change the gallery style to SmugMug style. There you can use the Tools button > this photo > replace tool.
