Hiding Category Pages from Search Engines

Is there a way to hide category (and sub-category) pages from Google and other search engines?

I have designed my website so that the user never sees Category pages when they follow the menus and links on my page.

But when searching on Google, my category pages show up.

To recreate: go to my website and choose Galleries > Search and search for "lacrosse". The category page will be first in the search results.

Obviously, this isn't a huge problem but I'd prefer if this page was not displayed in search results.

Thanks.

The only way I know to limit what shows in search is with the smugisland settings. And those are gallery or sitewide only. You can't set them for a category/sub-category.
