Neither one works so I removed them from this thread

Reading the posts about logos and business cards I decided to try and come up with my own logo.
Here are two examples

1. This one I am using on my site now.

2. this is a new version.

Ok Have at it.

I don't see your logo used on your site at all.

If you're serious about wanting feedback, neither logo works for me. They both give the impression that you simply snagged an image of a camera somewhere and just plopped your name on top of it. That doesn't give a professional look to the logo - and if I saw it on a web site or business card my first impression would be that the site owner was not a professional.

There is no need for an image of a camera to be used to portray the fact that you are a photographer.

The fonts you are using in both logos are sloppy. The first is slightly better than the second, but neither is good.

Both are truly bad. Sorry. Busy, busy, busy. Bad font. Aliasing.

    Hire a designer.

Thank you for your comments and Critic I appreciate it. I will actually apologize for the second one, I posted in a hurry and it does really look bad. The first one is on my home page. I would love to hire a graphic designer but it is not an option at this point.

If you can't hire a designer then go with something simple, text only, using a classic font. Get rid of the camera image - it screams unprofessional.

As I said before (and as everyone else said), neither image is good.
