Shooting my usual, can't resist theme: the Garden! Being a 'back to nature' girl in the big city I love to focus on the nearby (coexisting) natural garden life. As always, your comments are appreciated and helpful.

1. City Garden

3. Trilogy (or triple play?)

Thanks for looking. GP

I really like #1 - the color of the car mimicking the flower & the lines of the trees in the background. Really like the movement in the background. The monarch is very pretty - nice & crisp, & although it doesn't seem like the highlights in the flower are blown, it seems very bright. Would be an easy tweek in pp. #3 is also a very nice shot - I like the colors & comp & the touches of sunlight. #1 is definitely my fav - nice framing.

I really like #3...the greens and purples and the uncluttered background.

I really like #3 for the composition and colors. Really pretty, and I had no idea that artichoke bloomed like that!

#1 is pretty good, but I always feel like my red flower pictures turn out oversaturated, and the same here.
#2 almost the whole flower is blown.

2 is nice but looks to be a little overexposed for my taste. Not sure why but I really like #1 and the juxtaposition of the flowers against the traffic. Kind of a 'stop and smell the roses' feel.

Thank you Dave - that's precisely what I was going for in #1. GP
