Nice. When I was in Grafton there were fires everywhere too. It has been terrible weather for it. It's those hot westerly winds..:uhoh

But the sunsets are nice we got a few nice ones at the coast.

Thanks RM...i was so dissapointed with how it came out.

Sunsets can be a harsh mistress.

    Mr Kelby helped a bit.

Well, Gus, you are an excellent photographer, one of the best, IMO.

Nice sunset, maybe the smoke dimmed things too much.

Oh, and Gus, it is not the equipment, it is the photographer. Yeah, I love my 400, why did you get rid of yours?

Thanks G...its driving me insane fooling with it !

I was on a freeway racing it so as i could get to that exact spot & the whole time watching it sink to my right. Dangerous stuff being a photographer & driving at the same time.

I did give the sky another wipe with Scott Kelbys method but it just went too fake.

Thats it...no more...ive finished with it.

The frame helps alot. Sometimes my photos don't look that good for here, but would be very good somewhere else.

I still wonder why anyone would get rid of a 400, except for a 500, smile.

    ginger again

Oh, and I don't think that "people" really understand photographers. My daughter actually thinks I have a choice and could stop all this foolishness.

Have you shot while driving, not that I would recommend it, but I got some fine shots one very scary night.

The 400 is only in for repairs..should be back in 2 weeks.I would NEVER part with that lens.

Tell your daughter that there are several thousand people over here that think you are well & trully on the right track.

oh...& dont worry about shooting from a car...i shoot from my motorbike !

Yeah they fly along alright. One ran over an 8 man scull the other day. No serious injuries thankfully but he was driving straight into the morning sun.

When i was living on my old trawler on the river i had to lift my coffee cup as they went past due to the pressure wave from them. Twin 400hp scanias.
