LR3 says my catalog in invalid!

It won't open it at all. Says it is invalid. I googled it and found that if you delete the "lock" file that might help. Apparently I don't have a lock file. Any ideas out there?

Since LR prompts you automatically for backups, do you have a backup catalog you can try?
