I think I like the colored version better for this one. Hence #2.

They are all fun shots, and any of them would work. I like the one in color but think it might be stronger if the large cloud was further to the left to give more balance. I like the exposure in #3 and the diagonal line of the clouds in #1. Hard to say which might the strongest entry for this challengem but looking at them again and again, #3 looks good to me- for what it's worth. I like the visual interest of the details at the bottom of the frame, anchoring the shot.

I like #3 best. And I agree with sapphire73's reasons. I might like them better with more contrast.

I like the crop and the position of the clouds in #3 best.

However, I'l like to see more contrast too, or a color version.

2 tells the larger story for me, but 2 has the nice tight composition less some clouds I would like to see as in 2.

Thanks for the feedback folks, it is much appreciated.
I too wish there had been more contrast but I had to go with what I could.
We have had either rain or bright sunshine here for days.
When I took these it was around 84 degrees F and very bright.
To get any sort of movement I had a circular polariser & an ND 8 filter on.
Then I was losing the foreground so I added a soft graduated filter to even out the sky & land - the downside I lost contrast.
    But that's the challenge.:D
