For you RJs:

1. After a strong wind perhaps?

2. Rust and silver

3. I'd like to see the boot that crushed this can - it's really a 55 gal drum

And a couple of oddities along the roads:

4. This was buried in a concrete shoulder - no idea why it was there

5. "Boot Hill" fence outside of Hunt TX - all sizes, shapes and colors of boots can be seen there

Good to see you out and about, Lauren. We Rust Junkies always appreciate a feeding.thumb.gif #s 3 and 5 are the winners for me. I've got a few pair I'd love to donate to the fence.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks, Tom. I always keep my eyes open for some rust for ya--I may have another shot or two I can dig out.

Richard - Here are a couple more shots for your perusal. I decided to play with the PP on these.

Awesome boot fence shots. What is the story behind this place?

I did a couple of searches online but was not able to find a good explanation. One story connects the fence to the end of a trail ride, after which some riders put their boots on the fence to mark the end of the trail. Apparently, the fence has been there for several years.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice careful compositions and PP selected for each. That shoe fence line is something to see and the other processed images just added. thumb.gif
Gotta wonder about that nice looking sandal embedded where it is. Its like a marker. Dig here for the rest of the story headscratch.gif:D

I agree - cool series - and the boot fence really does it for me!

As for rust? We'll find lots in the fall - abandoned vehicles in fields near the salt air of the Bay of Fundy = guaranteed rust. This will be too much fun.wings.gif

Michael - I love your idea about "dig here."

Mary - Glad you enjoyed all the shots! How's the weather up there now? Were you affected by the floods?

    Ceci - Can't wait!!

Fargo flooded and then went way down only to rise up some with all the rain. Minot and Bismarck/Mandan in ND had/have flooding too. ND is just wet .. hot tho today. Made it into the 90's wings.gif
