I love the way you captured the center of interest. The pair of eyes just below the hand and the little girl with the party hat both perfectly still and gazing in wonder at the candle flame. Meanwhile, all this is contrasted by the hustle and bustle in the background and the tilted perspective. Really works for me.

Thank you for the very nice comment.
I also loved the eyes on the cake. I'm not sure what age you stop doing that, so I was glad to capture it.

Thank you Damon. You know how it is w/ birthdays--kids get such a kick out of the small things. I find "trick" candles annoying, they see another opportunity for multiple wishes:)

Sorry. I thought I had already commented.

Wonderful photos - gotta agree with BD about the eyes!! Perfectly framed. Excellent example of your very recognizable style.

Thank you everybody--so much encouragement with this one bowdown.gif.

Angelo--if I entered the shot into anything I would likely crop her out, the only reason I'm keeping it is for personal reasons. Thank you for the input and if I do wind up doing anythign other than printing it for myself, then I will definately crop.
