Spider identification

I came home to find this mommy with dozens of babies hanging out in the driveway. I'm not a spider expert (or fan). Does anyone recognize this? It was fairly large, somewhere between a quarter and a half-dollar, I'd guess. I don't know if it's a poisonous thing that I should make a special effort to make sure it's not hanging around where my kids play (I did not kill it after taking the photo - and of course now it's gone back into hiding)...

Ok, I guess it's a wolf spider. Eww. So now I guess it's just a fairly heavy crop of a so-so photo of a wolf spider. [shiver] ;-)

It's a Wolf Spider with a lot of young ones hitching a ride.
    Poisonous?, No!.
    Venomous? Yes!
    ^^Just a technicality of course.
How venomous? not very! The Venom is not lethal but it can still hurt for a while like a getting stung by a wasp.
Leave them alone and they'll leave you alone.
