Mono Lake

Hikin' Mike

After passing by Mono Lake for years, and never stopping. Last year my wife and kids stayed in Lee Vining, but I slept in. This time I got up at 4:15 AM and was able to capture some decent sunrise pictures. Here's some of my favorites...

I like the first three very much, Mike. There's nothing wrong with the last two but the light isn't as dramatic.

Mike I love the silhouette shots. Most people shoot the light on the tufas, which is all well and good but I think I prefer your take on them.

Really good series, looks like you had some decent light and were able to capture it in a unique way at an oft-shot location.
