Pictures At The Beach

Just did a photoshoot down at the beach near our house. I was pretty pleased with how most of them turned out. These are all taken with my 50mm f1.4. Most are at f4. No fill flash or reflector used, just sunset light with reflections off the sand. Suggestions and critique always welcome.

Not a fan of #3 (perspective / wrinkles), but the rest is really, really pretty!

#1 is by far the best of the bunch. I like the color saturation & composition. I believe it's a mistake shooting your subject from above when she is looking straight at the camera. There are too many problems with wrinkles. # 4 is also a good photo. I'm not high on the black & white shot, just my personal taste regarding portraits.

Agree, 1 is far above the others technically. Looks like a fun day at the beach!

Good call on the angle issue. I was trying out some different angles then i normally use, and while i liked the lighting, those shots weren't my favorite either. Couldn't quite put my finger on it though. You nailed it though. Thanks.
