Glaciers are a lot harder to get a decent image of than one would imagine. I struggle with capturing the grandeur of things like this. I've passed by this spot several times usually in rain/fog. Finally passed by that way on a clear day, too clear.
This is Barry Arm on Prince William Sound. Each of these glaciers in its own right is huge. The mountains on the left side are 5000 ft or so. From left to right they are Cascade, Barry, and Coxe glaciers.
Here is Barry singled out.
Where we woke up that morning. You can just see the top of Cascade glacier in extreme right of frame.
A couple shots taken along a hike into the hills.
