*20,000 years ago in what is now Death Valley, Lake Manly filled the bottom to a depth of about 600'. With the cooler glacial temperatures, pine trees grew nearer the lake shore, and the snowline was 3-4,000 feet lower on the Panamint Mountain range. This enhanced panoramic composite photo-image recreates what the valley, lake and mountain range may have looked like during those times.
