deleting from iPad app

I have a number of galleries that I have deleted from the website, but the thumbnails persist on the ipad app and there does not appear to be any way to delete galleries or individual photos from the cache. I cleared the cache on the ipad but the gallery thumbs still were there even though the galleries no longer existed on SM. Any ideas or does this feature not exist? There are many galleries I want to keep for offline viewing on the ipad, but I don't want to keep seeing the ones I have deleted.

    Have you tried closing down the app completely? Doing the whole double click the home button and close the app there. When you reopen it then it should resync with your galleries on SmugMug.

    tried it and it didn't work. Ended up deleting and reinstalling the app. I wish the app had a way to force a sync or to clear local files and albums selectively.

    You could try removing your SmugMug site from the app and then re-add it to force a refresh.
    There's currently no manual refresh option, but the app should refresh itself automatically at certain points.

    Nice to know it is an issue and I was not doing something wrong. Is this considered a bug or should a user voice request be filed?

    Nice to know it is an issue and I was not doing something wrong. Is this considered a bug or should a user voice request be filed?

    I have been absolutely delighted w/SmugMug for several years now. However, I bought an Ipad primarily to be able to carry around my photos and now find out there is no way to delete galleries, much less individual photos, from offline Ipad storage. This is really a horrible, disappointing design by SmugMug. What a let down by folks who I thought were very technically brilliant and user oriented. It needs to be fixed and quickly - PLEASE!

    I complained about this months and months ago. Every time I complain I get this same stock answer.

    "we're aware and we are working on it." I'll wait a period of time and ask again and I'll get the same answer again.

    If you replace a picture it will not get updated either.
