A gooseneck bend in Fifty Mile Canyon

This is actually Lake Powell. Fifty Mile Canyon is a branch of the Escalante River which feeds into Lake Powell.

Thanks schmoo, except for green water, there's not much other green to see on Lake Powell. We cruised 30 miles on a houseboat from Bullfrog to the Escalante River and there is not much vegetation. You have to like rocks. This view was from our anchorage and we did have some small trees on the scree bank to tie up to (the water is too deep for water-anchoring and it's all hard rock down there). They were tough little trees that held the house boat in a strong cross wind all night.

I agree with Schmoo--the green adds some nice color to the shot.
