manual lens metering issues
this is probably a question for andy or ziggy (the two manual focus lense users i know of in here, but any others using manual lenses should jump right in)
i have now got my cameraquest m42 to eos adapter and shot over the weekend with my super- multi -coated- takumar 4/200.
my SMC 300/4 is on the way and I should be shooting birds soon
it is certainly a sharp lens however I am wondering whether my metering is working properly.
-i have been using stop down metering in aperture priority mode and i think it is slightly underexposing using evaluative metering.
i can allow for this with exposure compensation and a bit of experimentation but would rather not have to adjust compensation every time i change lenses-knowing me I will forget and then start overexposing.
have either of you had any metering issues using your manual lenses? which is the best kind of metering to use?
