So as part of our Independence Day weekend we visited historic Concord, Massachusetts where the first battles in the American Revolution took place. In Lincoln, too, which is the next town over. While in Concord I HAD to go to one of the grave yards because it's a passion of mine. This is the Old Hill Burying Ground established 1673. The earliest grave in it is 1677.

Seriously some of the best stone carving I've ever seen. Artistry for sure. Too bad the light wasn't the best to show it up, but I can always find another.

    Howdy,

Really love these old Headstones, really a great find,
    and great capture.

Have you looked up to see what the carved symbols mean???

Might be really interesting to learn, so many of these older ones
have some great stories behind them.
    Take care,
