Like the sense of "herding" in the first. But the second is much more interesting with the people being reflected in the glass. Well done for an overdone and usually cliched subject.

I like them both very much. On the first, have you considered just a bit of brightening on the face of the woman in the right foreground?

Both are good but I prefer the first. All those layers. I wouldn't brighten the face--the darkness goes nicely with the posture, and given the inclination of the head, there's probably not much detail there anyway. To me it adds mystery, which is always nice. I'd crop the second to eliminate the cab moving out of frame. I tried a square crop on it (full height but eliminating from both sides) and I liked it better that way. All the really interesting stuff is in the center.

    I can't pick a favorite.
I love the "commuter" look you captured here--that vacant look, but #2 is also bowdown.gif, with the refections and the bit of the outdoors.

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone.

Richard, while I agree that the interesting aspects are the reflected faces, I opted to leave the cab in the second shot as I felt it gave a more contextual feel and a sense of motion to the image. Plus, I'm on a bit of a FtFF kick right now. I'll throw away most images that need cropping and I've been going back through my collection and reexamining anything that's been cropped. I think there's a tendency to equate tight crops with being close enough. It isn't the same and I'm working to get through it.

Rainbow, I always appreciate your stepping in to get the commenting going. As to the cliche part? Yeah, public transport is cliche and that's why I don't do much of it anymore unless there's something that I just feel compelled to capture (and I happen to have the little camera out!). The stacking and ennui was too much to resist.
