Here's some pics from a few concerts I've shot over the past few days. Friday night was Grace Potter. Saturday was Ted Nugent. Sunday was Matt Hires and Marc Broussard. I'm just including a few from each gallery, but please visit and critique my shots overall. I shoot for an entertainment magazine here in Vegas and have been doing so for about a month. I do get paid for each concert I shoot, and would like feedback so that I can improve for my next set of concerts and hopefully edge my way to the top of the photographer pool.

I can't really appreciate the pictures as the watermark is too large and distracting... Sorry.

Ok…watermarks reapplied to be a little less distracting.

The system is slowly reapplying… I had a watermark on the bottom right corner, but that was very easy to crop off. I need something a little more annoying. Any suggestions for that too? I don't want to detract from the photo, but at the same time, don't want a simple crop to allow a different magazine or blog to grab my photos and use them without my permission.

Hide your watermark in your pictures. I do that sometimes. :)

One thing I am noticing are cropped guitars, cropped legs, etc. Be more aware of the edges of the frame when you click the shutter.

The main critique I have is to not be afraid to crop excess negative space. Some photos would benefit in my opinion from a little chop chop. There's nothing wrong if the aspect ratio of your camera doesn't fit the vision of the shots you have or if theres just nothing else to fill the frame with in the venue :)

I have no prob with the watermark.........too much head space on most and that caused loss of feet and instruments..........take a bit more time on the shot....no need to shoot thousands of frames...take time and get better images (lower ISO and smaller aperture can help....shoot in manual, not any sort of programed mode (program, shutter priority, aperture priority)....at least for me manual has always been my friend..........
