Fireworks on Long Island

Went out tonight with a couple of friends to shoot...well, photograph...the display by the famous Grucci Fireworks at the Bald Hill Amphitheater on Long Island.

This is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Bald Hill. Unfortunately, the fireworks were in a different direction...

    Thanks, folks, I really appreciate it. Ron, I saw the photos you posted, they were very well done! I'm actually lucky I got what I did. About half way through the display, my 4-year-old, $20, Hong-Kong wireless remote decided it wouldn't work right in bulb mode. I'd hit the button, it would open the shutter for one second, then it would close. I ended up dialing in my shutter speed, anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds, and firing it off (the remote worked fine to trip the shutter that way...) and hoped for the best.
