Hawk with hitchhiker
Last night walking along the Bow River, a hawk flew past with several red winged blackbirds chasing it. Got this shot. I never saw the small bird on its back until I loaded the pic on the computer.
At first i thought the small bird is a downey or hairy woodpecker but now I am not sure. Located in western Canada.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The bird is an Eastern Kingbird. They have hidden red feathers on their heads. Never knew this and I have photographed many of them. I found, goggling, two other pics of a bird riding on the back of a hawk and in both cases the birds were Kingbirds
you nailed the exposure .I have them chasing but not one riding great job
