JF LR to Smugmug plugin question (duplicate files)

I've read over the wording on the plugin. I am getting duplication in the gallery.

On the plugin at " Of the XXX images selected for export..."

I have Update checked so that I can work on photos, upload and update.

Below that there is a checkbox that says "Replace the most-recent previously-uploaded copy" Below that a field that changes from (The upload destination is ignored for images that are replaced) and when "replace the most...." is checked it (the upload destination is ignored for images that are replaced)

What I am trying to do is:

100 photos to Edit, upload.

Then edit 100 more photos, upload (select all of the images the previous edits, then the new ones)

On Upload (at this point I see ALL: 200 images) and below on update: it would say (100)

I am trying to determine if I need to have this checked, or not checked on the way I update, so that each time I can select all of my images and only those that are updated will upload. I seem to be getting a lot of duplicates when I do it either way, but I have not determined what I am doing wrong.

Of course, it takes forever for a reply. just wanted to see if anyone had the check boxes figured out. I've tried the LR--> smugmug by smugmug too this process works best for me for the way I do our uploading.
