What would you do if you had this great house and barn in the prettiest valley you can imagine in Vermont?

Is this what you'd do?

If not now, when?

Yes, I probably would. Barns can take several decades to plant themselves back into the earth. What's the hurry? ne_nau.gif And the vintage vehicles are great photo subjects in themselves. thumb.gif Just think of the endless macro rust shot possibilities.

And all that mess is out back, right? If you're standing on the front step of the main house, none of the barn area is visible. :uhoh

Yeah, I like taking pictures of the old rusty cars myself. But I'd want to use that barn for something. My brother in law has one with a climbing wall, a badminton court, a guest room, and a wood working shop as well as space for some old Land Rovers, MGs, and a BMW motorcycle with a sidecar that might or might not run.

What a fantasy, to live in a beautiful place like that and have a near infinite amount of space for projects.

I saw that immediately in the first image that the building to the right appeared to be bent in the middle :D I thought ohhhhh that can't be good eek7.gif

I sort of have mixed feelings about old places......they do have a lot of character if they are in good condition, and ohhhhhh yeah they provide the most wonderful photographic opportunities....... but where do you draw the line as to when it's time to pull old buildings down and cleaned up the mess ne_nau.gif

You'd never know your second shot was taken in the same yard as the first shot.....I like that second shot the most :D Skippy (Australia)

John, I went back recently to reshoot this barn that I have posted previously......

[imgl]http://pathfinder.smugmug.com/photos/1691768-L.jpg[/imgl] It is no longer standing - just a pile of old boards on the ground. How sad!!
