The building next to my Grand-Daddy's old Drug Store burned down. Any remnants left by the time I visited was this on the outer wall of the Drug Store building.

Hello Mary, Love the colors in #1! thumb.gif

#2 Doesn't do it for me. Some textural close-ups of the weathered bricks might, though! :D

Nice shots, Mary. Got a wider one of the staircase? I've always been attracted to the remnants of a staircase on an exterior wall--it's sort of like time travel, and makes you think about what was there.

David, Michael and Don ... keep looking .... there's more to be seen :Drolleyes1.gif

I see a mans face in the ashes on the brick.

Richard .. I did have wider shots and I dumped them. After doing so I thought it was a mistake. I'll be returning tho since it's my Dad's home town. They've put in a park where the building burned down. Looks nice. Sits right on Main street.

    Howdy Mary,

I really love the colors and perspective on that first one.

    Well seen and captured.
    Take care,

The first is very strong, the CMY colors are terrific, the diagonal lines are dramatic.

The second looks like what geologists call an angular unconformity, two different rock types with different orientations in contact. And it's a terrific shot.

Extracting those shots out of what had to be lots of visual clutter is remarkable.

Thank you for such nice comments to these photos :D

I think I took about 20 shots of this area only coming up with these 2 that I thought would work. Will head back tho for a full shot soon. Can't believe I dumped that one headscratch.gif

Gonna check on when the store was built. I'm curious now.
