Messing around with a Huge ?Dandy lion? I found while visiting Colorado. Please C&C
Lighting is Natural

Put my EF 85 1.8 to use shooting wide open @1.8

Is it just me or do the vases seem more in focus than the giant dandelion head?

It looks the same to me in #1 and #3--but I think #2 is wonderful.

Actually, I used live view on my 50D and zoomed into the Dandy lion for tack sharp focus in all shots. I think the DOF is so shallow that the vase is the only thing that looks in focus. When I zoom in on original file, Dandy is quite "Dandy".

Not sure how you would be able to get the whole Dandy Lion in focus and maintain a nice bokah in the BG.
