Today I thought to use my very old and simple point and shoot camera and broke a very basic rule of politesse (along with some photography rules, like noise and quality...) :rolleyes

I never thought that those innocent, candid shots I took, could ever be the subject of such a comment.
"The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters." said Goya at the time he was hunted by the Inquisition of Spain (the dark age)
I guess this other image bellow is as unacceptable as the others:
No further comments from my side. I was so proud and happy to show what I could do with no macro lens, but just with a simple P&S.
It's a shame that my shots were received this way!

lol!
I STILL prefer the window washer. That guy is stuck in my brain. I thought it was awesome and made my jaw drop.

I'm not a narrow minded person and I often taste spicy jokes, especially when they are addressed to others
However, after I waited looong, and noticed that my post had a lot of views and no comments at all, I started to worry about possible misinterpretations…
At that point, I went and edited my post, by changing the title from: "Invading their privacy" to "Invading a bug's life".
- still no comments at all, and the nr. of views were increasing.
… until I had one - BAM!!!
Amazingly, the comment was made by the same person who doubted the morality of my work on the Kubrick contest….
this makes me think that the "joke" was not just a simple "joke between 'friends'."
All this, by the time the fifth image was receiving kudos in the dailies:

… it seems that the people there more tolerant...
I know you and others liked my window washer, but I worked and re-worked on it, trying to make it more interesting, and I got so bored with that shot!
I'm also excited about getting more creative with this theme that allows so much liberty of expression, so I thought to come up with those unfortunate bugs.
I really like the fifth one and thought to just go and upload it to the gallery in despite of all things, but then I thought again that it may be disqualified because of the subject.
There is not too much time left and also my shooting conditions are quite limited, so I really don't know what I'll do, especially that at this moment, I don't feel comfortable to post any other work here for a review…
Thank you again,

"Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth." — Mark Twain
But overall, I still like the B&W of the window washer best.
I had the chance to do some more shooting yesterday evening, and I'm quite excited with what I got
I will make a separate thread with my final decisions, because I don't want to carry the unpleasant situation above, all over...
