Weekend in Brussels

This past weekend I've spent some time with friends in Brussels. One of the strangest touristic spots there would be is "manneken pis" ("the little peeing man"), which main virtue seems to be that it's tiny and it's peeing. If that's not enough, they dress him up at times too. And crowds form to see just that (statue in top right corner, pushing crowds in front, and traffic jam on the right...):

Give me this statue that was standing in a window any time!

Next to that, there's a lot of nice architecture to be seen. I was the only one that really liked the concrete structures that were used in the office district near the European Parliament.

All in all, we had a great time. You can see more pictures in my Brussels gallery. And before I forget: of course we didn't forget about the food, in this case meaning Brussels waffles.

enjoy being here while getting there
