Black Skimmer Calling Profile - S.W Florida

I had the opportunity to photograph this guy at a very close range. I wanted this image with the open beak because I already have a few with the regular pose. I wanted something more interesting.

Hope you like it.

Canon 7D, Canon 400mm L f/8, 1/1500 sec, ISO 400, Manual exposure, hand-held.

    That's one bird on my list of targets. I've only seen them once around here and they were too far away for me to get a nice picture.

    Very nice image Maxis and I agree about trying to capture them with an open beak. I think it makes for a more interesting image.
