Discrepancies between Google Analytics and SmugMug Stats

Hi,
I'm noticing discrepancies between what Google analytics reports and what the Sumgmug Statistics page reports. For instance, I have 3 days (July 8, 9 and 10) where GA reports 1, 0 and 0 hits, but the stats page reports 8, 94 and 98 views respectively.
Can someone explain me what is happening?

Both stats work completely different. Google can only track page views, where as SmugMug stats keep track of photo views. And photos can be viewed without visiting any site of yours. For example they can be embedded in forums, blogs or other pages. Read more on our stats here:
