Just FYI - I was uploading five videos using the simple uploader and it locked
up my pc. It was doing two at a time. Locked up view: two finished, ~25% &
~60% progress on next two. No other activity on pc at the time.

I had to turn off power and reboot. Checking the gallery all the videos uploaded.

FF3.6.18 Win7 64bit
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
6gb ram 4gb video

Any ideas?
Thanks

All in one tab, none others open, one "Simple" upload window containing all five videos.

I've had this happen before. The uploader 'reads' the entire file before uploading. While it is doing this, it can use up the entire cpu, making it look like the system is locked up. Just wait about 30 minutes or so and if it clears up, that's what it was doing.

I waited quite awhile and nothing happened. Maybe not long enough though.
    Thanks

It depends on the queue of files and how large they are, how fast your cpu is, etc, etc.

I've learned that I cannot start queuing multiple upload sessions simultaneously, even on my fastest system. I attribute that to the parsing going on, and that I'm regularly dropping in 1000 files.

Video files provide the same challenge, except that the cpu is completely nailed. I can't switch tabs or anything. In fact, the screen won't even refresh. I just wait until the parsing is complete and all the files are in the queue. Then everything goes back to normal. ne_nau.gif
