As for the bird it looks like a rare Pink Flamingret

We approached these critters from the backside of the exhibit, and I was in a hurry to get on the road home, so I didn't see their nameplate. You could be right.

Thanks Steve, I too had forgotten just how much fun it can be. The kids I saw at the zoo reminded me with their awe and curiosity.

Keep having to zip my mouth on zoo shots and mostly succeed except for weak moments. The Volunteer Engineer is great - he's the one who wants to be there.
