Plume from the last shuttle launch. Taken from about 5 miles from the launch pad. Awesome as always....

    Reminds me of my old camera. The one with really bad shutter lag :D:D:D
    Just couldn't resist. Too prime.

    While I have never been to a shuttle launch, With this image I can easily imagine having stood, just there, still spellbound by complete awesomemation at what I had just visually and physically experienced. Likely, I'd linger there still looking out at that plume, the day, for the longest time. Soaking in every last ounce of essence in the event remaining for me. Locking that memory in.

    Check out the shadow it casts on the cloud above it.

    I, for one, will greatly miss the shuttle program.

    That shadow is pretty cool. And I will miss the shuttle program as well :cry.
