We took a very fast trip to the Oregon Coast this last weekend. I did manage to get a few pictures while there. This was in the middle of the day, so not ideal lighting conditions, but it turned ok I thought.

It's not always like this -- we get rain about ten months a year. These beaches are usually gray and windswept and cold and rainy. July and August are gorgeous (September can be too but can also be wet), but Oregonians put up with a lot of rain for those two or three months of awesome weather.

Seems to be just a bit of blue tint to them, (maybe you like it like that) try clicking on the waves with your eyedropper.
