Chrysotoxum Elegans - A very bright, vibrant Drone fly and the first of this variety of Drone fly that I've had the fortune to photograph - I am rather pleased
Flesh Fly - You can even see the sticky pads on the feet (and a few dust spots in the space above )

I saw one a week or so back but never got he chance to photograph it. Possibly the same one. Either way, it's VERY bright, and easily spotted a good 10 or 15 ft away.

I use a Lastolite Ezybox Speedlite. It's rather large and looks quite cumbersome but it's surprisingly easy to use and seems to work nicely.
