New uploader not running in background...

The newest version of the uploader seems to pause whenever I switch to another tab or switch to another application. I am using IE9.

Previous versions of the uploader would continue uploading regardless of what other task I had the focus on. This way was more productive. With the new uploader, I have to keep IE9 and the SmugMug Add photos tab active for the uploading to continue running to completion.

Is this a bug or part of the design?

What do you mean by 'new uploader'? Which one are you using?

I know there's been some general quirkiness with IE9, so I'd try it in another browser on the same computer and see if it does the same thing.

I've been using IE9 to upload successfully for quite awhile. The default uploader was updated within the last week or two. I believe it intoduced drag and drop loading. Also, the Skip Duplicates setting seems to get ignored now. I've never had these problems more than a week or two ago.

Skip Duplicates works, but you must first leave the uploader and come back for it to actually skip any dupes.
