They're all great. But I love the dahlia one best - great colours. We get hoverflies here in Australia too but I haven't been able to get such close ups.

I have heard a few Ossies comment that the hovers there are very hard to get close to.

Wonderful shots, they all came out well.

That is one big Hover sitting on a 3"-4" flower.

Yes the Volucella family are pretty big hovers - you duck if one flies towards you.
