Not exactly. This is part of the Petrified Forest in Arizona called "Blue Mesa Trail".
This is a sample of the bizarre landscape here adjacent to the Painted Desert.

    Very cool, you have to post the colored version for us, after all it is the painted Desert.

    There you go. It was a dark, cloudy day, so the colors are a bit muted. I added a second image from the park.

    Thanks Job Bob, I do like the second of your new images, it shows off the color of the desert much better than the first, looks like a very cool place to visit and shoot.
