Another go at the Roller Derby

A while back I posted some shots I got at a roller derby, you guys gave me some feedback and advice, and I went back last night for more shots. Let me know what you guys think. I switched to manual exposure, upped my ISO to get shutter speed to 1/400 or 1/500, zoomed in more and shot portrait orientation more often.

3)I don't know about this one because you can't see their faces or read their names on the jerseys but I thought it gave a good sense of 'giving chase' which is what was going on. I'm on the fence about it though.

(just for kicks) Apparently, when left with nothing else to do at half time, referees break in to choreographed dance routines.

Nothing? Not even a "meh, they're ok I guess"?
Don't worry I'm not going to keep bumping this, if it dies, it dies. /ivan drago

I like them. I just saw a practice for roller derby but didn't have my camera, just my iPhone. I took one shot knowing I would have motion blur, then edited it and made it look oldtimey. I like yours better :)

#5 is my favorite: great timing on the "I'm not cheating" roller derby move. I also think the referee shot is great. Some of my favorite "sports" shots are the action around the sport.

Were you shooting single-frame or continuous?

I set auto-ISO and set the minimum shutter speed to 1/500.

Continuous, I did everything manual. I shot some at 1/500 and didnt notice a significant difference between that and 1/400 but it let me get my iso a little lower, but I don't know if the small drop in ISO made a difference either.
