Count Open Customer Carts?

Is there any way to know how many customers have carts with photos and how long they've been open. Thinking about how a live cart is really just a private gallery, so the customer never really needs to buy anything, if they just want to show family and friends their favorite photos.

Would be interesting to know if it's an issue, if at all.

Context: high school sporting event galleries

P.S., I know you can get a sense of activity from Google Analytics and looking for Cart pages, but was wanting something more specific.

Thoughts?

This would be interesting information, but what's more interesting is the abandoned carts. There's was request for that here:

The shopping cart is really client-side only. The cart contents are stored in a cookie on the client's machine, not on your site, or through SmugMug per se. Due to the way this works, there isn't a way for us to show you the contents or know how many 'open' or 'active' carts are in existence right now. Keep in mind, this is also machine-specific, so one customer could have separate shopping carts on their home PC, work machine, and netbook.

This isn't to say that it's absolutely undoable (it may be, it may not be), so you can help make your voice heard by visiting http://feedback.smugmug.com and starting a voting topic there. Votes and support will get the attention of our Product Manager and sorcerers.
